Candlelight Slow Flow Yoga, Wine and Chocolate

Enjoy a calming and restorative flowing yoga class with Kathleen Kelly. Unwind your body and settle your mind for the weekend ahead. This class is designed to melt the stress and tension out of your body, and hit the reset button of your mind to help you enjoy your weekend. Meditative gong session will end the class. Yummy chocolate and a lovely glass of wine will follow the event. Non alcoholic beverages and tea will be available. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Exploring the Dark Side: New Moon Yoga Class Blindfolded Practice
Sunday, October 30 @ 9 – 11 am

Explore your practice by sensing, feeling and moving from a deeper place than what meets the eye. During this practice you will be blindfolded and guided through a sequence using your sense of hearing and touch to develop better kinesthetic awareness. By removing visual influence and distraction, we will be able to dive deeper into the self, enhancing your inner gaze. Calming and fun! Music and guidance will be subtle, class will be open to all levels. Kathleen Kelly ERYT 500 will lead you.

Start in the Beginning! Yoga 101: The Basics
Wednesday’s, November 2 – 23 @ 5:30 pm
Saturday’s, November 5 – 26 @ 9:45 am

This class is specially designed to introduce the vinyasa flow practice of sun salutations which are designed to open and strengthen every major muscle group in the body. We will introduce the foundational standing poses as well as basic hip openers and back bends and weaves them into the flow of sun salutations. Class will focus on breath technique, healthy alignment for the joints and concentration and focus of the mind. Students will learn basic anatomy of the body and breath. This class is uniquely designed to work with students of all ages, body types and varied degrees of flexibility.

4 week session $20.

Anatomy & Yoga Asana: Understanding How Your Muscles Work

This workshop is appropriate for all yoga teachers and serious yoga students who wish to deepen their understanding of yoga and how it works with the physical body. RYT Training & Continuing Education Credits given.

Learn how your body functions as you move. This class will help you in your own yoga practice and enhance your skills as a yoga teacher, body worker or therapist. Stacey’s style of teaching helps it all make sense by combining theory and movement.
20 hours of CEU’s offered.

Attendees will attain:

  •  Understanding of muscular anatomy and function.
  • The ability to apply advanced kinesiology to yoga postures.
  • What moves and how.
  • Identify muscular dysfunction as it pertains to restricting yoga postures.
  • Poor alignment issues.
  • Identify contraindications/indications for student adjustment.
  • Where and how to adjust.

Stacey has been teaching movement for over 25 years, Yoga for 15 years and anatomy for the last 11 years. Her understanding of functional anatomy comes from studying dance, massage, kinesiology and asana. The unique mix of disciplines makes for a wonderful ability to teach and explain complex muscular function in an easy to digest way. Stacey looks forward to assisting you to a deeper understanding of your muscular.

Yoga, Kids and Canvas!
Saturday, November 5 @ 11 am – 12:15 pm

Share your love of yoga with your family! Through partner poses and fun yoga games, this class will give you the tools to cultivate mindfulness, focus and tranquility that you and your child can use in everyday life. Children and adults together will interact in this class designed for fun and exploration. We will start the class with yoga movements, breath and relaxation. Class will end with a fun art project that the kids will be taking home with them. All are welcome to attend. No experience is necessary. $4 per person fee. Adult must accompany all children. Please sign up ahead of coming so we can plan accordingly for the art project.
