Overcoming Anxiety: How To Still the Mind
Thursdays @ 7:15 pm
October 27 – November 17, 2016

Who doesn’t have causes of stress or anxiety in day to day life? You are not alone. Learn tools to disrupt the body’s response to stress and counteract the long-term effects of anxiety. In this yoga based approach you will learn how to:

  •  Identify the effects of stress and anxiety in your body
  • Tap into your own mind-body connection
  • Gain tools to interrupt your body’s stress response
  • Counteract the long term effects of anxiety in your body and mind
  • Regain a sense of vitality and well-being in your life.

4 week session $40.

Special Thanksgiving Day Yoga Classes
8 am until 9:30 am.

There will be two levels of practice.
– Intermediate practice with Kathleen
– Gentle/Slow Flow practice

We hope to see you all there. Great way to start your day of feasting. The classes with focus on the digestive fire to get you ready for all that yummy food. Class is FREE in exchange for food or monetary donations being given to Manna for Life’s Soup Kitchen. All other classes on Thanksgiving day are cancelled. We will resume the regular schedule with the 6 am class on Friday morning.

Yoga, Zen and Pen

Friday, November 18 @ 5:30pm

Join Theresa Stinski RYT200 for a relaxing class evening of meditation, yoga and writing just for women. We’ll begin with breath work and set an intention to guide us through the class. Halfway through we’ll pause for some writing, or feel free to journal as the need arises. We’ll end with some meditation/yoga nidra, then more time for writing. We’ll close by sharing insights, writings or thoughts that have come out of the practice. Bring a journal, pen, shawl and an open mind. $10 or class card.

Yoga, Kids and Canvas!
Saturday, November 19 @ 11 am – 12:15 pm

Share your love of yoga with your family! Through partner poses and fun yoga games, this class will give you the tools to cultivate mindfulness, focus and tranquility that you and your child can use in everyday life. Children and adults together will interact in this class designed for fun and exploration. We will start the class with yoga movements, breath and relaxation. Class will end with a fun art project that the kids will be taking home with them. All are welcome to attend. No experience is necessary. $4 per person fee. Adult must accompany all children. Please sign up ahead of coming so we can plan accordingly for the art project.

Your teacher, Shawn Wallenfang is a yoga RYT, a local artist, child care provider and awesome grandma!

Candlelight Slow Flow Yoga, Wine and Chocolate
Friday, November 25 @ 5:30 pm

Enjoy a calming and restorative flowing yoga class with Kathleen Kelly. Unwind your body and settle your mind for the weekend ahead. This class is designed to melt the stress and tension out of your body, and hit the reset button of your mind to help you enjoy your weekend. Meditative gong session will end the class. Yummy chocolate and a lovely glass of wine will follow the event. Non alcoholic beverages and tea will be available. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Regular class fee $10. WALK-INS WELCOME!

Exploring the Dark Side: New Moon Yoga Class Blindfolded Practice
Tuesday, November 29 @ 5:30 – 7 pm

Explore your practice by sensing, feeling and moving from a deeper place than what meets the eye. During this practice you will be blindfolded and guided through a sequence using your sense of hearing and touch to develop better kinesthetic awareness. By removing visual influence and distraction, we will be able to dive deeper into the self, enhancing your inner gaze. Calming and fun! Music and guidance will be subtle, class will be open to all levels. Kathleen Kelly ERYT 500 will lead you.

Class Fee $20.

Start in the Beginning! Yoga 101: The Basics
Wednesday’s, December 7 – 28 @ 5:30 pm
Saturday’s, December 10 – 31 @ 9:45 am

This class is specially designed to introduce the vinyasa flow practice of sun salutations which are designed to open and strengthen every major muscle group in the body. We will introduce the foundational standing poses as well as basic hip openers and back bends and weaves them into the flow of sun salutations. Class will focus on breath technique, healthy alignment for the joints and concentration and focus of the mind. Students will learn basic anatomy of the body and breath. This class is uniquely designed to work with students of all ages, body types and varied degrees of flexibility.

4 week session $20.
