We will be holding Advanced Yoga Teacher Training this coming weekend. On Sunday, February 12 from 1-3 pm we will be exploring the principles of twisting with hands on adjustments. We are looking for yoga students to come in and allow us to practice our skills on them. Please contact the studio if you’re interested in helping out. Always great fun and everyone learns together! Candlelight, Slow Flow Yoga, Wine and Chocolate

Enjoy a calming and restorative flowing yoga class with Kathleen Kelly. Unwind your body and settle your mind for the weekend ahead. This class is designed to melt the stress and tension out of your body, and hit the reset button of your mind to help you enjoy your weekend. Gong Meditation will end the class. Yummy chocolate and a lovely glass of wine will follow the event. Non-alcoholic beverages and tea will be available. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Regular class fee $10.

Mindful Flow Yoga: Dristi/Bhandas/Breath

This class is designed to introduce and practice the more subtle aspects of the yoga practice within the vinyasa flow asana practice. You will be introduced to and practice the core principles of dristi (gazing), bhandas (the root locks) and the practice of pranayama (breathing). These principles will be introduced while practicing vinyasa yoga postures and as separate practices and principles off the yoga mat. Some level of yoga practice and understanding would be helpful to all students.

Astro – Asana with Jen Jelenic
Thursdays @ 4:30-5:30 pm

Come flow with the cosmos! Join Jennifer for Astro – Asana, Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 pm. We we will flow through yoga poses specifically tuned into that weeks cosmic influences. An eclectic mix of astrology and yoga to keep you balanced and moving in tune with the ebb and flow of universal energies. All are welcome!

 

Yoga, Zen and Pen with Theresa Stinski

Join Theresa Stinski RYT200 for a relaxing class evening of meditation, yoga and writing just for women only. We’ll begin with breath work and set an intention to guide us through the class. Halfway through we’ll pause for some writing, or feel free to journal as the need arises. We’ll end with some meditation/yoga nidra, then more time for writing. We’ll close by sharing insights, writings or thoughts that have come out of the practice. Bring a journal, pen, shawl and an open mind. $10 or class card.

 

40 Days to Enlightened

Reset your natural rhythms and nourish yourself into great health! Ayurveda, the ancient sister science of yoga is the perfect way to accomplish your healthful living goals! If you are interested in an introduction to Ayurveda and how to apply this ancient healing science easily into your daily life, join Jennifer ‘Fern’ Jelenic for a 7 week Ayurveda and gentle yoga workshop following the book 40 Days to Enlightened Eating: Journey to Optimal Weight, Health, Energy and Vitality by Elise Cantrell.

Class will meet once a week for 7 weeks on Thursdays February 2 – March 16, 6:30-7:45 pm.
Together, we will read one chapter a day for 40 days and meet once weekly for yoga and to discuss our insights, challenges, recipes and so much more. Commencement Thursday, March 16. Following yoga we will have a potluck celebration with some of our favorite recipes! Pre-registration and payment required by January 28, 2017.
Minimum of 6 participants to run class. 20 people maximum.

Cost: Preregistration $85 by 1/15/2017 $95 thereafter. Repeat students $45.

Yoga, Kids & Canvas!

(Held the 1st & 3rd Sat. monthly)

Share your love of yoga with your family! Through partner poses and fun yoga games, this class will give you the tools to cultivate mindfulness, focus and tranquility that you and your child can use in everyday life. Children and adults together will interact in this class designed for fun and exploration. We will start the class with yoga movements, breath and relaxation. Class will end with a fun art project that the kids will be taking home with them. All are welcome to attend. No experience is necessary. $4 per person fee. Adult must accompany all children. Please sign up ahead of coming so we can plan accordingly for the art project.

Your teacher, Shawn Wallenfang is a yoga RYT, a local artist, child care provider and awesome grandma!

 

Yoga 101 The Basics
Wednesdays: February 1-22 @ 5:30 pm
Saturdays:  February 4-25 @ 9:45 am

This class is specially designed to introduce the vinyasa flow practice of sun salutations which are designed to open and strengthen every major muscle group in the body. We will introduce the foundational standing poses as well as basic hip openers and back bends and weaves them into the flow of sun salutations. Class will focus on breath technique, healthy alignment for the joints and concentration and focus of the mind. Students will learn basic anatomy of the body and breath. This class is uniquely designed to work with students of all ages, body types and varied degrees of flexibility.

4 week session $20.

 

Bridging Yoga & Restorative Meditation
Tuesday, March 28 @ 9-3:30 pm

Open the intelligence of your body through simple posture sequences. Learn to integrate the physical yoga practice with stillness and investigate your experience with more clarity and depth.

We will integrate yoga asana, pranayama, and guided meditation blending detailed physical alignment with practices to help you calm the mind.

You will learn to settle your mind, find space in your breathing, and establish a restorative meditation practice.

Please join us for a day of contemplation, learning, quiet, community and study. Fee $110 for the day.
