Friday Night Yoga, Wine & Chocolate
Friday, August 12
5:30 – 7:00 pm

Enjoy a calming and restorative flowing yoga class, unwind your body and settle your mind for the weekend ahead. This class is designed to melt the stress and tension out of your body, and hit the reset button of your mind to help you enjoy your weekend. Yummy chocolate and a lovely glass of wine will follow the event. Non alcoholic beverages and tea will be available. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Yoga, Zen and Pen

Join Theresa Stinski for a relaxing class evening of meditation, yoga and writing just for women. We’ll begin with breath work and set an intention to guide us through the class. Halfway through we’ll pause for some writing, or feel free to journal as the need arises. We’ll end with some meditation/yoga nidra, then more time for writing. We’ll close by sharing insights, writings or thoughts that have come out of the practice. Bring a journal, pen, shawl and an open mind. All are welcome to attend!

Flow Yoga at Webster Park
Wednesdays

The time has come once again to start playing outside, and that includes some yoga fun! Join Kathleen at Webster Park in Allouez for a fun night of yoga and relaxation. It is a fabulous way to unwind from your day. The park is located behind Webster Grade School on Webster Ave. across the street from the Bay Area Yoga Center. Access to the park by car is from St. Joseph St. In the case of rain we will hold class at the yoga center. Parking available in the lot by the park, on the street, or at the Bay Area Yoga Center. It is less then a one block walk. Bring your own mat and any props you like to use. The event is FREE to all! We will have a donation bucket for the Bay Area Humane Society. A no kill shelter. Hope to see you all very soon!

Family Yoga at the Allouez Farmer’s Market
Thursdays, 4:30 – 5:15 pm.

Join Kathleen for a FREE Family yoga out in the warmth of the summer market on Libal Street in Allouez. All are welcome to attend. Experienced in yoga, never did yoga before, old or young, this class is for you! Fun ways to practice together as a family or just with friends! Shop the market, check out the booths, practice some yoga and enjoy the warm days of summer. Located in front of the Village Hall.

Yoga 101 The Basics
Saturdays, August 6 – 27
9:45 am

This class is specially designed to introduce the vinyasa flow practice of sun salutations which are designed to open and strengthen every major muscle group in the body. We will introduce the foundational standing poses as well as basic hip openers and back bends and weaves them into the flow of sun salutations. Class will focus on breath technique, healthy alignment for the joints and concentration and focus of the mind. Students will learn basic anatomy of the body and breath. This class is uniquely designed to work with students of all ages, body types and varied degrees of flexibility.

Define Yourself as a Yoga Teacher
300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program

Starts September 9, 2016 ends June 1, 2017

You have 200 hours of training under your mat. You can guide students through an intelligent, effective yoga class. Now it’s time to advance your career. Call Kathleen for a schedule of weekends and lessons. 920-265-2217.

Kathleen’s Personal Approach
The mentor relationship was originally how yoga was passed down to new teachers and the Bay Area yoga Center, LLC continues this effective learning tradition. One-on-one mentor relationship to guide you throughout the program and beyond. A final project designed to help define yourself as a yoga teacher. Addressing yoga teaching questions and discussions in small group meetings with your mentor and other students

Your Opportunity for Deeper Learning
To add to your teaching tool kit, each month you will participate in weekend workshops on a wide variety of teaching topics, which include:

  • Teaching vinyasa flow and advanced asana
  • Practicing hands-on adjustments
  • Injury assessment and management
  • Understanding restorative yoga and yoga for chronic illness
  • Deeper meditation, subtle body and yoga philosophy studies
  • Tailoring classes for beginners and pregnant women
  • Understanding the business of yoga
