Heather began practicing at Bay Area Yoga just over 2 years ago. “I visited the studio in hopes of relieving hip and back pain from my previous pregnancy. I left that first class in amazement at how much we can learn about ourselves through yoga. This inspired me to have yoga be a part of my daily living.” Two years later Heather completed her RYT 250 training with Kathleen and currently is a teacher in the studio¹s Saturday rotation as well as a sub for other teachers. Heather is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.
Heather is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and folds yoga into her therapy practice. “I believe the physical body needs to be incorporated into our healing as a way of bringing balance to our mind, body and spirit.” Heather offers yoga classes in her role as Parent Program Coordinator for the Oneida Tribe of Indians. Heather is a passionate student of yoga and loves to share what she has learned with others. A mother of three beautiful and energetic children; she understands the difficulty of finding time for yourself. “Making time to have a routine yoga practice has helped me become more present in all my relationships, including the one with myself.”
