Kirtan Description: This musical offering features Sanskrit mantra set to fresh melodies and sound healing experiences designed to lead participants into a more organic experience of meditation in stillness or in motion. One of the oldest sacred sound traditions of the world, Kirtan call-and-response chanting, involves Satsang, a Sanskrit term meaning where people gather together as a community to remember to turn inward and to help each other find our own inner path. Using a combination of sound, vibration, melody, harmony, and Sanskrit mantras—Kirtan is moving and exhilarating as well as quieting and meditative.
