Yoga Retreat in Yelapa, Mexico with Kathleen Kelly-Hoffman
Winter in Paradise!
February 9-15, 2014
I invite you to join me in a wonderful journey to Yelapa for a week of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and an immersion into an entirely different way of life. Yelapa, Jalisco is a 45 minute water taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta and is accessable only by boat. There are no cars here in Yelapa, only mules and burros transport goods along the cobblestone paths as they have done for hundreds of years. Each day we awaken to the sounds of the jungle and the sea. Amazing wildlife and warm friendly people will accompany us throughout our days. An opportunity to slow down and embrace the beauty and simplicity of this pristine village awaits you!
Imagine practicing in a secluded open-air yoga studio amidst the treetops of a tropical jungle, while enjoying one of the most expansive views Yelapa has to offer. Daily yoga classes with focus on moving freely within you breath with the aid of alignment and bhandas. Spot whales in the bay, allow yourself to be serenaded by tropical birds and cooled by the breeze from the beach below. Enjoy hiking, swimming, and playing in the waterfall. Relish the slow pace of life in a quint fishing village without cars and roads.
The Sky Temple , an amazing open air yoga studio, sits on a hillside above the bay. Our meals are prepared lovingly by chef Pegge. Our lodging is very comfortable and yet simple…
Casa de los Suenos and Casa Garcia. Judith Roth, our guide, takes care of every detail, making sure that our visit is complete. We are made to feel at home in Yelapa, as Judith is respected and well loved by the locals!
