MEDITATION MADE EASY!
Mindfulness & Pranayama (Breathing)

Thursday, April 5 & 12, 7:15-8:15pm

Have you heard how great meditation or mindfulness practice is? Everyone is talking about the benefits of settling your mind. But how? You try sitting but you feel more unsettled than ever. You can’t sit still. You experience pain and restlessness like you never have before!  “I can’t do this!” you might say. But you CAN do this. Everyone can practice meditation! You simply need to learn how. That’s it!

Kathleen will introduce you to mindfulness/meditation practice in an easy and user-friendly manner. You will be given all the tools you need to begin and maintain a practice at home. Meditation begins with stability and a concentration of the mind and attention to the body and your posture. We will address all of these issues.

Instructed by MaDhyana Kathleen Kelly, Zen priest since 2005.
Donation $10.

TIBETAN CRANIAL WITH LINDA MOREAU

FREE lecture and demonstration
Friday, May 4, 6:30 to 8:30 pmDemo and Q&A to follow lecture Individual sessions.
Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6 by appointment

All sessions held at the Bay Area Yoga CenterTibetan Cranial® is a healing modality that originated in the Himalayan highland about 3,000 years ago and is now practiced in its traditional form in the West. Practitioners use their fingertips to read hundreds of pulses on the recipient’s head. The physical component of TC then involves gentle pressure applied to the neck and skull. It also involves energetic work. As the recipient lies on the table, the Practitioner kneels at the recipient’s head, creating a connection between the Practitioner’s heart chakra and the recipient’s crown chakra. Both the Practitioner and recipient engage in a silent mantra, the repetition of a word, phrase, affirmation, or prayer. Because TC work is physical, energetic, and spiritual, it can facilitate physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual transformation.

For additional information and to book sessions Saturday or Sunday email or call Linda at 970-590-5417 or moreaulj@yahoo.com

Restore Your Roots
2nd and 4th Saturday
11:00am – 12:00pm
Yin yoga opens up the deep, dense, rarely touched tissue areas of the body.
Years of dedicated asana practice will make anyone healthier, stronger and more flexible, but at some point, the muscles will have reached their limit of flexibility. New depths of postures, deeper ranges of motion, or increased flow of energy may only be achievable by focusing on the deeper tissues of the body. Yin yoga is the perfect complement and balance to more active yang practices and stands as a practice all by itself. Postures are held for longer periods of time and repeated for maximum effect.
All are welcome to attend.
Drop-in fee: $10
Teacher: Karen Simcik, 500 RYT
